A journey that started in 2022 with a vision to create a space where women working in higher education, specifically housing and residential life, could come together and support one another. Born out of Jackie Cetera’s work with MACUHO (mid atlantic association of college and university housing officers), LeadHERship was designed to foster connection, growth, and empowerment among women working in housing. Jackie had the privilege of working alongside a team of incredible women, to bring LeadHERship to life! It would not be what it is today, without the helping hands of those ladies.  

The first year, LeadHERship was virtual as we navigated the uncertainty of the pandemic and whether in-person events were possible. In 2023 and 2024, LeadHERship grew into an in-person event.

In 2025, LeadHERship found a new home with JNC Innovations. Jackie is grateful for the incredible journey and the opportunity to continue the LeadHERship legacy.

LeadHERship is open to all women, regardless of career stage, industry or employment status. For those currently employed, seeking employment, are a full-time caregiver for little ones or taking care of an elder, this is for you!
